My sister and I share a love of travel, and we decided that a celebratory trip was in order for her upcoming 50th birthday. We have been searching for months for just the right travel opportunity. We knew that we would recognize the right choice was when it came along. We were willing to be spontaneous and go anywhere and do anything that sounded like fun. We considered a hostel in the Everglades and oceanfront property in California, but nothing seemed quite right.
Just as I began to despair as to where we were going to end up I received an email about a timeshare in Ireland. It seemed like an impossible idea at the beginning and I almost didn't even discuss it with my sister. When I did mention it to her we started talking about it in a kind of joking manner. Then we began to consider it seriously and asked each other "can we really make this happen?" The answer was apparently yes because we booked our airline tickets today.
Two weeks to the day after we began first joking about the trip we made our flight reservations and we already have our timeshare booked. On the day we leave for Ireland it will be 55 days from the day we first began to plan this trip. This is especially remarkable for me because I am already elbows deep planning a trip to British Columbia for the week after I return from Ireland.
As I write this I am surrounded by maps and travel guides for Ireland, Portland ,Seattle, Vancouver and the rest of British Columbia.... feeling a little bit overwhelmed as to where to start.
I know, everyone should have my problems right?
