The Skye is sunny!

We arrived in Edinburgh, Scotland on Thursday at 8:30 am. Picked up our rental car and drove straight to the Isle of Skye. Long (LONG) drive to our hostel in the dark. Brian, the hostel owner was properly shocked that we had drive and flown so far in one 24 period! He said he was going to write it down so that he could tell future guests the unbelievable tale! More details about that later, but the Reader's Digest version is, we shared a room the first night with 2 men in the room, and two other ladies. How's that for a first hostel experience for my mom and sister? Mom woke up to a whiskered face and was a bit shocked. Perhaps we neglected to tell her that it was a mixed dorm! The next morning she ran into a buff man in a towel, and another in his briefs. She told us she knew it was going to be a good day.

Skye is beautiful and on our first day there we were blessed with their first day of sun after 53 straight days of rain!

I have tales to tell about rental cars in ditches, but time is up on my free internet (at the public library that is open on Sunday!!)
