Too bad we don't really drink wine!

After one more try at photographing the Grand Canal (successful after two failed attempts!) we headed for the train station and Florence.

The train was a high speed model, our second trip on the Disneyland type ride of the “tilt train” .

We arrived in Florence and decided to treat ourselves to a taxi ride to the car rental place. Every car sick impulse in my body came alive in that 5 minutes! I was too sick to even care that we nearly ran down 12 pedestrians, 7 bicyclists, and a dog. After much swearing (on the part of the driver “working all over Florence, the roads!”) we arrived at the car rental. Despite the harrowing(and sickening) ride, it was a good decision, after all, we could have been two of the 12 pedestrians!

The car rental went smoothly and soon we were off in our cute little Fiat 500. Adorable, fun to drive little car!

Le Centinelle is the B and B/olive oil, honey and wine producing place we are staying. Lovely old stone house in the Chianti region of Italy. We are on the edge of Chianti and Tuscany in a small town named Greve (grave A).

Anticipating trips to Seina and Florence while we are staying here.
