Up early to beat the crowds. No crowds but no sun either. We caught the tronchetto that took us the long way around to the Grand Canal. As we approached the canal our boat really began to fill up, but we had prime seats at the back of the boat, outside. Our great seats didn’t help with the lack of sun though. The ride was nice, but we will have photos full of grey sky.
We got off at the Rialto bridge. This is where the market is. No fish market again today, but we bought veggies for tonight’s dinner, along with some fresh fruit.
The sun has tried to peek out a few times today, without much success. We are currently catching up on chores. A load of laundry, checking email, and turning today’s finds from the market into dinner. It’s nice to enjoy some down time, and the apartment.
