Today was our last day in Mougins, and we had saved the Old Town of Mougins for last. We chose to take the local bus up to the town rather than make the walk, as other people that we had spoken to said it was a killer uphill climb.
The town reminded me of an ancient Laguna Beach. It is a quaint (intentionally so) artists colony with cute restaurants and a few residences and hotels. We wandered the town stopping at the various Artist's Ateliers (studios) and admiring the paintings, jewelry and the like. We enjoyed a visit to the photographic museum and then explored the back alleys and side streets.

We decided it was time for an afternoon coffee/wine/tea break. We found one of the few restaurants still open (we are having trouble figuring out the French siesta schedule) It was a nice, relaxing afternoon enjoyed by all before we returned to our room to begin laundry/packing and prettifying for dinner.

We had decided to dine in the resort's reataurant that evening, despite the fact that it was "Italian" night.
I enjoyed a delicious bowl of pumpkin soup while the rest chose the Menu of the day. A beautifully presented Antipasto salad, halibut over asparagas, mushroom risotto, and dessert (fruit with lavender icecream, creme brulee or strawberry tiramisu).

The ladies took their Lemoncello after dinner drink at the bar which overlooked the kitchen. We had nade
friends with the French Chef Cederic on the evening of our arrival. so they chatted, flirted and were kissed European style (on both cheeks) by Cederic, much to their delight! An extremely enjoyable way to spend our last night in southern France! I had returned to our room to aquire directions to our Paris resort, so I missed the entire experience!

Friday morning it was time to  hit the road (or the train tracks, as the case may be) for Paris.
