Ugh. Tom and I have been living our own little bit of hell this week.
We have been struck with some extremely virulent flu. We both started with it Monday night and today we can finally sit up for a short period of time.
Misery loves company, as they say.... While it's been nice to have someone know exactly what you are going through, it sure would have been nice to have someone to take care of us :} Tom bravely stumbled out the first day to bring us Powerade and more water. I have no idea how he manages it, but I am grateful. If it had been me and we had gotten desperate, I would have lay down in the hallway, with my credit card in hand, and maybe a note that said ....water..... Hoping a kind stranger would have appeared. Fortunately it didn't come to that.
We are very grateful that this happened when we were safely established in one place for a while, and our biggest challenge was telling the maids "no cleaning, just more toilet paper"
We plan to atempt a short walk to the waterfront this evening, just to get some fresh air and the blood flowing again. Wish us luck ;)
